The Bears are on a well-deserved bye week. (Well, after a four-game skid, I suppose the definition of deserved will vary depending on who you ask. Ask your doctors.)
Thankfully, for most of the rest of the NFL, it does not stop spinning because the charter franchise goes into temporary hibernation. A little less than six weeks left in the 2020 season means the playoff push will be intensified and the magnifying glass of attention will indeed melt some pretenders away. (Cough, basically the entire NFC against any AFC heavyweight, cough.) This Sunday in particular poses an interesting prospect as the league rams head-first into the stretch run.
