The Bears’ 2020 season has not been bereft of drama. After a 5-1 start, which included various gutsy, nail-biting victories, Chicago then dropped six consecutive games. In the third year of the Ryan Pace-Matt Nagy-Mitchell Trubisky era, the Bears were in considerable danger of not only missing out on the postseason, they also had the reasonable thought of cleaning house and “starting over,” so to speak. Such is the nature of a year to year, month to month, week to week, and sometimes even day to day league.
Two sound wins over the Texans and Vikings to right the ship may not have completely quelled the passionate calls for metaphorical heads on pikes.
