Watching game tape, Ryan Pace could see that Kevin White is a big, fast and physical playmaker. But the Bears general manager wanted to know what makes the West Virginia receiver tick.
So Pace invited White to Halas Hall for a visit-and during their meeting was further convinced that the 6-3, 215-pounder would be an ideal prospect to land in the draft.
"I just wanted to get to know his personality, what drives him, what his goals are; those things," Pace said Thursday night after the Bears selected White with the seventh overall pick.
"It's good to hear them talk; feel out his confidence.
