The Bears moved on from four players this week giving them a few open roster spots. The first thing they did was call wide receiver Victor Cruz and schedule a meeting for him on May, 15.
Cruz exploded onto the NFL landscape in 2011 and posted back to back 1,000-yard seasons. However, after 19 touchdowns in his first two seasons, compared to six touchdowns in his last three seasons. That includes a four touchdown year in 2013 that was respectable.
Of course, Cruz did not play a 2015 season. Six weeks into his 2014 season, Cruz tore his patellar tendon, which is a devastating blow in the NFL.
