Throw out the records: Bears, Skins looking to reverse trends

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Washington Redskins' 0-5 record away from FedEx Field means next to nothing Sunday.

"I mean, you could say the same thing about us, we don't have a good home record," Chicago Bears cornerback Tracy Porter noted Wednesday.

That's probably an understatement. Despite their competitive nature under John Fox, the Bears sport a dismal 1-5 mark at Soldier Field -- tied with Dallas, Tennessee and Cleveland for the fewest home wins in the entire NFL.

Of course with the exception of San Francisco, the Bears' home defeats have all been to playoff-caliber teams (Green Bay, Arizona, Minnesota and Denver), but Washington can say the same thing about its road opponents to date (Carolina, New England, New York Jets, Atlanta and New York Giants).
