The Chicago Bears are among the bottom six teams for current, projected salary cap space in 2020. The team will save a little over $8 million dollars just because Kyle Long decided to step away from football. Then the team was able to restructure Kyle Fuller’s four-year contract to save another $6 million in cap space for 2020.
According to Spotrac, the Bears have just under $15 million dollars in cap space. This is not enough to land a top free agent or retain some of the other players on the roster.
