Against the Broncos last Sunday the Chicago Bears offense looked very average again, but they were able to escape with a last-second win. Eddie Pineiro exercised some of the demons Chicago has felt from the double-doink in the playoffs. After a late 25 yard pass from Mitchell Trubisky to Allen Robinson, Pineiro drilled a 53-yard field goal to get the Bears the win.
The last-second win helped cover up how mediocre the offense looked during the game. Matt Nagy definitely decided to balance the offense running the ball 29 times and passing the ball 27 times. It is the type of balance the Bears need, but it still seemed to lack the creativity that Nagy is supposed to be known for.
