Third times a charm: John Fox should hire Mike McCoy to Chicago Bears staff

Mike McCoy was relieved of his duties yesterday as head coach of the San Diego Chargers, after posting back-to-back losing seasons and an overall record of 27-37 in four seasons with the team.

McCoy was hired as head coach of the Chargers after three very successful seasons as offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos, the final two being spent under head coach John Fox.

That was the second time Fox and McCoy had worked together, with their first stint being from 2002- 2008 with the Carolina Panthers, where McCoy cut his teeth and established himself as a legitimate offensive mind in the NFL.
