LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears enter Week 5 dangerously thin at wide receiver, where not only is starter Kevin White potentially done for the year, but veteran Eddie Royal is nursing a calf injury that held him out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
In White's absence, the Bears will give an extended look to former Illinois State quarterback turned receiver Cameron Meredith, who has 17 career catches for 172 yards in 13 games.
