The Chicago Bears worked out former Denver Broncos inside linebacker Brandon Marshall on Monday according to Adam Schefter. Marshall also recently had a work out with the 49ers, and he was a participant at last month’s HUB Football CAMP, which is a camp showcasing veteran free agents.
The scouts at the NFL Draft Bible say the 31-year old Marshall looked solid at the camp, and while some of his athleticism has left him, his “savvy and instincts are clearly still evident.”
The Bears currently have starters Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan at inside linebacker, with the returning but unproven Joel Iyiegbuniwe and Josh Woods, free agents Christian Jones and Austin Calitro, and UDFA Caleb Johnson all battling for reserve roles.
