Several established Thanksgiving traditions will stand the tests of time.
There’s waking up and either participating in some sort of extended community run, one that leaves your knees in a chronic state of pain, or playing a friendly game of touch football where Uncle Jack hopefully doesn’t pull his hamstring. There’s making a gigantic dry bird the centerpiece of the night’s meal, using it as a vessel for the real main course—stuffing. There’s being appreciative for what you have, for the people who care about and love you, saying thanks, and welcoming those of various creeds and walks of life to the table.
