The Chicago Bears are working together with the agent for Martellus Bennett to find a trade partner that is an agreeable landing spot for the tight end, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Friday.
Bennett, who is represented by Kennard McGuire, is under contract for one more year, but the former Pro Bowl tight end boycotted the entire voluntary offseason program in 2015 in search of a new deal that never materialized.
Just last week, Bears general manager Ryan Pace and coach John Fox both brushed off questions about Bennett's murky future in Chicago.
