Snap judgment: Darnell Mooney leads Bears wide receivers

The Bears continue to look smart for drafting wide receiver Darnell Mooney in the fifth round — No. 173 overall and 25th at his position — and he is one of the few bright spots in their offense.

While Mooney didn’t produce much in the 19-13 loss to the Vikings, he played 92% of the offensive snaps — the highest by any Bears wide receiver. That’s second only to the 93% he played against the Saints.

Speaking of rookies, by the way, tight end Cole Kmet played 70% of the snaps. His previous high was 47%.

The Bears need to scrap most of their offense and rebuild it, but Mooney can be part of the solution.
