Meet the new Bears quarterback.
Same as the old one.
After an offseason in which the Bears failed to make a bold move to fix their quarterback problem, they plan to Mitch Trubisky their starter for Week 1 against the Lions, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Trubisky beat out Nick Foles, for whom the Bears sent a fourth-round pick to the Jaguars. The former Super Bowl MVP had experience with coach Matt Nagy’s offense and his new lieutenants: offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo and offensive line coach Juan Castillo all teamed with him at different stops.
