The Chicago Bears re-signed quarterback Connor Shaw and long-snapper Patrick Scales to one-year contracts, the team announced Saturday.
Shaw showed promise in the 2016 preseason before a leg injury against the Kansas City Chiefs in Chicago’s third exhibition game ended his year. Prior to getting hurt, Shaw completed 5-of-6 pass attempts for 68 yards and one touchdown. He completed 4-of-6 attempts for 42 yards and one touchdown in the second week of the preseason at New England.
Shaw appeared in one regular-season game with the Cleveland Browns in 2014, throwing for 177 yards and one interception.
