The Bears lost emergency kicker Kai Forbath when he signed with the Rams on Tuesday.
Forbath, a nine-year veteran who joined the Bears’ practice squad Oct. 9, would have been their contingency plan in case Cairo Santos got injured or tested positive for coronavirus. Instead, by going to the Rams, he will likely kick against the Bears on Monday.
The Bears have stuck with Santos in the absence of Eddy Pineiro, who has been on injured reserve all season with a groin injury. Santos has made 10 of 12 field goals, missing only from 46 and 50 yards, and hit all 12 of his extra points.
