If there was a position where Pro Football Focus would probably lose their minds when looking at who made the Pro Bowl, it would be safety. The seventh, eighth, and sixteenth rated NFC safeties made the Pro Bowl. Chicago Bears safety Adrian Amos is second (in the NFL) in those rankings.
If Pro Football Focus grades were the only thing that counted, the Bears would have multiple players in the Pro Bowl, but that’s not how this works.
Amos has tallied 56 tackles, which is a solid number for a safety, but, despite having solid pass coverage, he’s only managed three passes defended.
