The following is the fifth of 10 position previews in advance of the April 30-May 2 NFL Draft.
Most NFL analysts are predicting that at least five offensive linemen will be selected in the first round of this year’s draft, with Iowa left tackle Brandon Scherff the consensus top prospect.
Last season Scherff won the Outland Trophy as the nation’s top lineman and was named Iowa’s MVP. In 2013, the 6-5, 319-pounder was voted first-team All-Big Ten and Iowa’s offensive MVP.
