Pompei: Half-past time to find Jay Cutler’s replacement

The time to start looking for Jay Cutler’s eventual replacement is now.

In a week when the Bears find themselves sandwiched between Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott, it is clear this franchise needs to find a young quarterback who is capable of greatness.

It would be good if genereal manager Ryan Pace were to spend a couple of Saturdays in the press box in South Bend with his binoculars focused on DeShone Kizer. Player personnel director Josh Lucas should become very familiar with Jimmy Garoppolo.

This is not intended to be anti-Cutler. Getting rid of Cutler isn’t going to improve the Bears.
