The Green Bay Packers will officially have to make do this season without their top wide receiver.
The Packers confirmed on Monday that Jordy Nelson will miss the rest of the season with "a significant right knee injury."
Although the Packers didn't specify what type of injury Nelson had suffered, it was reported on Sunday that the initial diagnosis of the wide receiver's injury was a torn ACL.
Nelson, 30, hurt his knee in Sunday's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a non-contact injury.
Last season, Nelson led the team with 98 catches, 1,519 reception yards and 13 touchdowns.
