We heard the players and coaches talk all camp long that the 2020 Chicago Bears were going to look a bit differently than what we saw a year ago. A commitment to the running game, a different scheme, less predictability in the run game, and more balance were touted at just about every Zoom press conference we heard.
We were’t quite sure if it was just talk, or if there’d be some substance to their proclamations, but after one week it seems that they were true to their word.
There wasn’t even any pass-happy panic from head coach and play caller Matt Nagy when the Bears were down 23 to 6 in the third quarter.
