Mitchell Trubisky now stands above all Bears quarterbacks. At least in one category.
Trubisky today became the first Bears QB ever to toss five touchdown passes in the first half of a game. He added a sixth touchdown early in the third quarter to become the first Bear since Johnny Lujack in 1949 to throw six touchdowns in a game.
Sid Luckman holds the franchise record with seven against the Giants in 1943.
Trubisky entered today’s game with nine career touchdown passes and 10 career interceptions, with only two passing TDs this season.
