Chicago Bears offensive lineman Matt Slauson has been nominated for the fifth annual “Salute to Service Award presented by USAA”. Nominees from all 32 NFL teams were announced yesterday with the finalists to be whittled down by early January. The winner will be announced on Saturday February 6, 2016, the night before Super Bowl 50.
Matt was nominated by the Chicago Bears for being a strong supporter of military activations carried out by the team, visiting children from military families at Great Lakes Naval Base as part of a program in conjunction with the USO called Teen/Tween Tuesdays.
