Matt Nagy named PFWA Coach of the Year

There have been plenty of articles over the last day or so that have popped up that say that Matt Nagy won coach of the year. That’s true, technically, but not really. The PFWA (Pro Football Writers Association) has been releasing their awards this week and the Bears had a couple of people honored.

Nagy brought home PFWA’s Coach of the Year honors while Vic Fangio brought home the award for assistant coach of the year. Many thought Ryan Pace would win executive of the year, but he was edged out by Chris Ballard from the Indianapolis Colts.
