Once all 90 players on the Chicago Bears’ roster arrive at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL for training camp on Thursday, obviously, the top story will be the battle between kickers Elliot Fry and Eddy Pineiro. The Bears’ kicking situation has been a topic of interest ever since the infamous double-doink by former Bears kicker Cody Parkey, which abruptly ended Chicago’s season in the wild card round of the playoffs.
In a press conference from this past Sunday, head coach Matt Nagy fielded several questions regarding the kicking battle that will take place during training camp, and said that both Fry and Pineiro will have numerous chances to win a spot on the 53-man roster for the 2019 regular season.
