CHICAGO -- If Matt Forte and the Chicago Bears do indeed go their separate ways, the 30-year old tailback left the stage on a high note.
With Forte's future in Chicago in doubt, the soon-to-be free agent tallied 110 all-purpose yards in Sunday's season-finale loss to the Detroit Lions, including a 23-yard reception for a score -- his 64th career touchdown.
"It wasn't like I was trying to score because it might be my last game," Forte laughed.
But Forte's touchdown energized the crowd, many of whom have watched the running back since the club drafted him in the second round out of Tulane.
