BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Anyone could have predicted that Tanner Gentry would be a fan favorite in camp. “This year’s Daniel Braverman” and “the 2017 version of Andy Fantuz” has actually been pretty good.
At Tuesday’s practice, Gentry caught three touchdown passes. The first came on a deep pass from Mitch Trubisky, a throw the rookie said wasn’t great because he slipped. Two defenders went for it, but sliding behind them and corralling the score was Gentry.
Later in the session, he ran a comeback route and posted up at the goal line to catch a touchdown from Mark Sanchez.
