Chicago Bears rookie fifth rounder Larry Borom made his debut in relief of left tackle Jason Peters in week one’s Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams, but his time on the field only lasted 15 offensive snaps before he got rolled up on from behind.
It could have been much worse, but he’ll still be heading to injured reserve with a high ankle sprain the team announced on Saturday. The new IR rules allow players to come off after three games, but depending on the severity of the injury Borom could be out much longer.
