The Bears cleared up some additional salary cap space this offseason by agreeing to a restructured contract for guard Kyle Long, who tweeted at the time he’s a “Bear for Life.”

The details of that contract restructuring emerged Wednesday, and it doesn’t bode well for his long-term future in Chicago.
Kyle Long agreed to a 1 year $4.1M fully GTD restructured contract w/ the #Bears that includes an $8.1M option for 2020. The move clears $2.9M of cap space for CHI this year.
