Yesterday the Chicago Bears issued their injury report in advance of Sunday’s game in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers, and included among the eight questionable Bears was offensive guard Kyle Long.
Earlier today the Bears announced that Long would not make the trip, therefore he was officially downgraded to out. Long has been rehabbing ankle surgery, while also recovering from a torn labrum that he elected to not have surgically repaired. Only the ankle is listed on the injury reports, so it’s assumed his shoulder is 100%.
Last week the Bears inserted Tom Compton in at Long’s left guard spot.
