Last season the Bears could not get over the injury bug. It effectively ended their season. This season was supposed to be the start of something new. However, the injury bug has bit again, and it has affected the team’s depth throughout the summer.

First, the team got the unfortunate news that Pernell McPhee would start training camp on the PUP, and could be there for the start of the regular season. From there was the surprise appendectomy from Markus Wheaton followed by a broken finger. Eric Kush could not escape the bug and found himself sidelined for the season with a hamstring issue.
