This is the news that Chicago Bears fans have been waiting for.
In this morning’s press conference, head coach Matt Nagy addressed the playing time the team has in store for rookie quarterback Justin Fields in Saturday’s preseason game, and it makes their noon (CT) against the Miami Dolphins all the more intriguing.
Andy Dalton is still getting the start, and he’ll get a series of two (or around 8-10 plays), but then it’ll be Fields’ time, and “he’s going to get a ton of reps,” says Nagy.
Nagy even said that depending on how Dalton’s time goes, that Fields could even see some run with Chicago’s offensive starters.
