LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Bears coach John Fox said on Monday the team will elevate Kevin White to the active roster if the rookie first-round pick can get in football shape prior to the Dec. 15 deadline.
“I think his leg is healed,” Fox said.
White -- the No. 7 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft -- has been on the physically-unable-to-perform (PUP) list since undergoing surgery in August to repair a stress fracture in his left shin. White initially returned to practice on Nov. 24, and he spent last week participating in individual drills for the first time since the offseason program.
