Jeremy Langford knows Bears' backfield competition is real

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- Jeremy Langford opened eyes last year with 816 yards from scrimmage as a rookie, becoming only the third player in Chicago Bears history to have 100 receiving yards, one rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown in a single game.

On paper, Langford is the obvious choice to replace Matt Forte, who left Chicago after eight seasons to sign with the New York Jets.

But by no means do the Bears intend to simply hand Langford the starting tailback job.
