CHICAGO -- Jay Cutler's elevated level of play puts the Bears franchise in a no-lose situation.
The mere suggestion of Cutler returning in 2016 sounded far-fetched over the summer, even though Chicago is on the hook for at least $10 million of Cutler's salary for next year. Most believed general manager Ryan Pace and head coach John Fox would tire of Cutler's penchant for turning the ball over long before the calendar turned to December or January.
That has not been the case, yet.
