Howard donates $10,000 to honor dad

Bears running back Jordan Howard presented a $10,000 check to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in memory of his father Friday at the Hotel Allegro in Chicago.

The check represented a personal gift from Howard as a match to the $10,000 in donations raised in response to his fundraising challenge for the PFF. Howard’s father, Dr. Reginald B. “Doc” Howard, passed away Jan. 31, 2007 at age 52 after a nine-year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Bears Care, the charitable arm of the Bears, presented a $2,500 check to the PFF as well.

Jordan Howard joined PFF CEO Patti Tuomey and Bears Care director Marge Hamm at Friday's event.
