The Bears are back to the same old problems with coach Matt Eberflus.
With a strong roster and sparkling rookie quarterback, one of the biggest concerns facing the Bears was whether Eberflus could prove himself more than just a defensive strategist. They’re about halfway through the season, and he hasn’t quieted that question.
The heat is on him yet again after the 18-15 loss to the Commanders on Sunday dropped him to 14-27. The offense sputtered, the defense lapsed — glaringly on the Commanders’ game-winning Hail Mary — and Eberflus had no answers to assure anyone.
