Heads or tails: Do you trust the Bears’ decision makers yet?

Bears mainstay Robbie Gould missed some big kicks last year, but no one was running him out of town for two very important reasons. One, the team had bigger problems, so his misses were put into the proper context. Two, and more importantly, Gould had a body of work to absorb the blows.

When you’ve been kicking as long as Gould, you’re going to miss a couple here and there. But when you’ve been kicking as long as Gould, you’re going to outlast your bosses and all of the people who saw your best days.

To Bears fans, he would always be “Good as Gould,” the unassuming, reliable kicker who got the job done when his offense couldn’t.
