Gould ready for important 2015 season

On the morning of Friday, October 7, 2005, the Bears brought in five placekickers for an emergency tryout at Halas Hall. The team was seeking a temporary replacement for injured starter Doug Brien, who was dealing with a sore back. One of the players in the workout, Steve Christie, had kicked in a pair of Super Bowls a decade earlier for the Buffalo Bills. Another, Martin Gramatica, was a former Pro Bowler who had led the NFL in scoring in 2002 as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
