Caleb Williams ascended as he went deep Sunday.
Of all the things to like about the Bears’ 36-10 win against the Panthers — the rookie quarterback went 20-for-29 for 304 yards, two touchdowns and a 126.2 rating in the team’s biggest margin of victory since the penultimate game of 2021 season — nothing tops what he was able to do throwing beyond 20 yards.
Entering Sunday’s game, he was 3-for-22 for 118 yards on such throws.
