The Bears’ free-agent and trade additions allows the team to focus on drafting the best player regardless of position, general manager Ryan Poles said Wednesday.
That declaration comes within reason — the team won’t take a quarterback and probably won’t be in the market for a cornerback, punter or kicker when they draft an expected three times in the first two rounds next month: with Picks 10, 39 and 41.
Everything else, though, might be up for discussion.
