Last weekend, Army became bowl-eligible and accepted its contracted spot in the Armed Forces Bowl. With the Black Knights’ post-season already determined, is it hard to motivate the team?
Head coach Jeff Monken thinks that’s a ridiculous question.
“We have other goals, and getting to a bowl game wasn’t one of our goals,” he told The All-American. “If you look at our goal board, it says, ‘Win the bowl game.’ It’s just the attitude we have about every game. If we play a game, we want to win. The Commander-In-Chief trophy is highly coveted by all three academies, and we’d like to have it here.
