From Notre Dame to Chicago, Kapron Lewis-Moore’s had a bumpy road to fight for a roster spot

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Defensive lineman Kapron Lewis-Moore is one of a sizable group of undrafted free agents and players on futures contracts here at Olivet Nazarene University hoping to get a shot at making the Bears’ 53-man roster or, if that fails, an opportunity elsewhere or a spot on the practice squad.

It’s not an easy spot to be in, especially with four defensive linemen probably locked into roster spots (Akiem Hicks, Eddie Goldman, Jaye Howard and Jonathan Bullard), leaving, most likely, two open for Mitch Unrein and Jonathan Jenkins (the favorites to land them) or Roy Robertson-Harris, Rashaad Coward, C.
