Friday Insider: Bears add Victor Cruz to crowded receiver room

Two years ago, the Bears thought they had the perfect mix of skill players for their offense to take off. Adam Gase was the coordinator of an offense featuring running back Matt Forte, tight end Martellus Bennett, an ascending Alshon Jeffery, first-round pick Kevin White and free agent Eddie Royal.

Unfortunately for then first-year general manager Ryan Pace, injuries derailed his plan and that configuration never played a snap together in the 2015 season.
