Former Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy showed up at Packers practices late last season as somewhat of a defensive consultant to coach Matt LaFleur, and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Monday that the Packers have hired Getsy full-time as a senior assistant.

Getsy, 40, was the Bears’ offensive coordinator in 2022 and ’23 before they fired him. They finished 23rd and 18th, respectively, those seasons.

The Raiders picked up Getsy as offensive coordinator this season, but fired him after just nine games.

Getsy got his start as an NFL coach with the Packers as a quality control assistant in 2014 and worked his way up to wide receivers coach by 2016.
