Former Bears CB Tim Jennings gets cut by Buccaneers

Tim Jennings' time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was short-lived.

The former Bears cornerback was cut by the Buccaneers on Monday, first reported by ESPN's Adam Caplan.

Prior to this week, Jennings had been a healthy scratch for the previous two weeks. Jennings played in six games for the Buccaneers this season, starting in three of them. He had 17 total tackles and one pass deflection.

Jennings was a member of the Bears from 2010-2014, but was released before the start of the 2015-16 NFL season. A few days later, the 31-year-old signed a contract with the Bucs, reuniting with ex-Bears head coach Lovie Smith.
