Former Chicago Bear Doug Buffone has died at the age of 70.
According to the Chicago Tribune, paramedics were called to Buffone's home early this afternoon where he was found dead at the scene.
Buffone was the 60th player selected (4th round) in the 1966 NFL Draft and he played his entire career with the Chicago Bears, retiring before the 1980 season. When he retired he sat atop the franchise for most games played (186), he's currently tied for 5th in games played.
Buffone's 24 interceptions is tied for 8th most in Bears' history, but is the most ever from a linebacker.
