What a difference a year has made for wide receiver Eddie Royal. The Bears prioritized his services in the 2015 free agency period, guaranteeing him $10 million to man the slot. Just seven weeks later, they drafted Kevin White in the first round, adding a size-to-speed prospect to round out a trio of White, Royal and Alshon Jeffery.
On paper, this was a formidable group of weapons in the passing game. Unfortunately, injuries prevented that group from ever playing a snap together in the 2015 season. White missed the entire season with a broken tibia, while Royal and Jeffery both suffered lingering leg issues that kept them out for nearly half of the season.
