One fatal flaw in the Bears’ offensive operations, one that played a devastating part in the loss to the Broncos, was there on display in St. Louis but was easy to miss for all of the dust clouds stirred up in the wave of 80-yard plays coming from Jeremy Langford and Zach Miller.
Those and the 37 points total put on a good St. Louis defense overshadow the nagging fact that the Bears had the football at the Rams’ 19- and 18-yard lines but then had to settle for field goals in the fourth quarter.

It was a foreshadowing of Sunday when, in addition to taking over at the Denver 49 and promptly going three-and-out in the second quarter, the Bears had the ball at the Denver 18- and 28-yard lines and took the 3’s.
