Former Bears guard Ted Karras, a member of the 1963 NFL championship team, passed away Tuesday. He was 81.
Karras played five of his nine NFL seasons with the Bears from 1960-64, starting at left guard for the 1963 squad that beat the Giants 14-10 at Wrigley Field to win the league title.
The Indiana University product appeared in a total of 108 NFL games, also playing for the Steelers (1958-59), Lions (1965) and Rams (1966).
